Valdosta State University, Showing Students What Not To Do

So i get a bunch of email from valdosta.edu yesterday. I call them. Universities continue to be a major donotreply.com abusers since at one time Campus Pipeline software told people to slug in do.not.reply@ (guess where), when sending email.

So i get a bunch of email from valdosta.edu yesterday. I call them. Universities continue to be a major donotreply.com abusers since at one time Campus Pipeline software told people to slug in do.not.reply@ (guess where), when sending email.

They claim it was an innocent mistake started before I owned the domain. Which is like saying, lets bury our savings next door because the lot is empty. But supposedly to fix the problem they sent a note out to tell people to stop doing it.

Valdosta.edu is ignoring their advice and still sending. So I call, get the help desk and they say rougly, "Yes we are aware of the problem and have stopped doing it, Danny Mckee is the system Admin and he has stopped everyone from doing it."

Here is the mail, using donotreply.com, I got today:

Blazenet will be taken down for maintenance from 8:000 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday May 10, 2005. The Blazenet portal will be inaccessible during this time.
