May 09, 2005All Aboard - Ride EADS RiseThe news is a buzz, thanks to Airbus sales, EADS's profits soar. But what could a quarterly report really tell you? I bet you not as much as over 10,000 internal emails. I have called eads 17 times, sent them 10 emails, yet they still refuse to stop using the domain donotreply.com in their system to avoid bounces. In case you don't know who EADS is, they are officially known as the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company. Their Site will impress you about how important they must be. Surely someone dealing with a major airliner, in the defense industry, must have tight security. Surely emails containing Excel sheets discussing BOURAQ AIRLINES's POs could never be leaked. I could never know that MICHELE is on the case, or that they are using unit part no 2083-08-1 or that the PO is X052147. I COULD NEVER KNOW THAT!!! EADS is way to big for me to learn the price of a filter (9355 - vendor 5170-2336), because that would be screw-y (8.09 vendor 5170-2336). And those TACA weekly runs? Who can forget the run from 7/12/04? It featured plenty of warranty work for smoke detectors from CERBERUS-GUINARD. Or some of the scary findings on the WEATHER RADAR DUAL CONT or FLIGHT WARNING COMPUTER?? Sure hope those got fixed! And then of course there is the "History for Air Jamaica weekly Run Invoice total". This was a favorite here. It was pinned to the fridge for weeks as we tried to match up to see if Air Jamaica was being billed for work that the other reports concluded was EADS's fault. But then it hit us, no way this could really be from EADS right? Surely they have not just regular smarties, but European smarties making sure they don't leak any private information like the "Capability List" or " Accounts Payable Vendor Totals 2004". So what to do with the EADS's mail? Now that I live in Seattle, should I offer it to Boeing? Sell it to some investment firm looking for insider information? How about an EADS vendor looking to see problem parts or a competitors business with EADS? The possibilities are endless. I smell an ebay auction. Discuss the stupidity on POE New's Forums Or email me at chet at poe-news.com (this includes you EADS) Posted by Chet at May 9, 2005 04:14 AM |
