Well it is addressed to me… so when Charles B lets them know he had to do the order “in swoop”, is there anything I need to do? Because later Vanessa complains about swoop not letting her do something… so what is swoop? It sounds like a code word for the bird flu. Or maybe, unlike brighthouse, the kids at cinbell ain’t so bright. While I have made my share of typos, this email from a cinbell employee makes me cry (and not just for replying to the original email).

YES THEIR IS AN ORDER OUT THEIR FOR SWOOP AS WELL AS COCRIS. I SENT THE SAME THING TO YOU YESTERDAY ?

But I will give her credit for being consistent. She later replies to an email with;
THIS IS THE THIRD TIME I HAVE SENT THIS… ACCORDING TO THE SWOOP ORDER IS DOES NOT HAVE
THE CORRECT ORDER NUMBER ON IT BUT AS YOU CAN SEE THEIR IS AN ORDER OUT THEIR AND IT HAS
THE SAME TN#, THE SAME DUE DATE, THE SAME NAME…. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO WITH
THIS… I DON’T KNOW WHY SWOOP CANNOT SEE THIS ORDER ? HELP !!

I too wonder why swoop cannot see this order. But even more, I have to wonder why their internal system sends me all their bounced emails. Why they decided to share all their private customer data with me? Maybe I can write swoop and it will give me the answers?

Do you remember when Larry Ellison, Oracle’s CEO, kept calling Oracle’s software unbreakable?

I have no idea if it really is or not, because as with most things, human engineering or error will be a bigger security risk than the software itself. I imagine oracle is running some kind of fancy pants mail server they make. I am sure it has great security, and I am sure they handle their private business with the utmost security.

Okay, I am kidding about that last part.

Why?

Because when Emad S**ed goes on his training trip this December 18th and returns on the 22nd, Oracle estimated the trip would cost $659. Flying from Houston to Chicago and back was 223.00 (lowest) all the way up to 321.66. The hotel was 436.00. Not bad for the Wyndham Drake Oakbrook Hotel. A little mean to make a guy go out of town until December 22nd, but maybe he will be picking up something nice on the magnificent mile for Mrs S**d.

And in case they aren’t checking their email - oops they can’t because they used my domain for the return address - so I will tell them now, Todd V******** wants to cancel his December 4th trip… oops again. Sorry guys, a little late. But here is a little trip tip for anyone flying flight United Airlines UA903 from Dulles to Denver on December 8th, Seat 39G is going to be empty…

So before anyone calls anything unbreakable, they might want to go over a few rules. #1 on the list, if I had my way, would be to not use a domain you do not own as a slug for the return address of your private emails. But hey, that’s just me, and unlike Larry En*****, I won’t be out of the office this Monday for the Minnkota Power Demo.
