A page that is “Just for Kids”, shows pictures of the Flintstones, scooby-doo and other cartoons sure seems like it would be targeted towards kids. Outside of chat rooms, just for kids normally means just for kids… On Warner Brother’s Website, it has all of this and a little something more, something very much not just for kids.
Notice the ad in the upper right? Where does that lead to? And who do you think this page targets?
It leads to a zango install page of course. Zango? Zango is 180 Solutions adware software, if that is starting familiar, they are the ncase people. I talked about zango here. They are also the people behind this alleged child porn browser. They are also the people who still silently install their software on your pcs.
Pretty kid friendly!
So lets go to the install page, this seems pretty adult to install software that will bog down their computer by filling it with ads. So at least the install page will look properly serious right? You be the judge.

That looks pretty scary! That friendly robot should scare off anyone under 18! And if you think I clicked that checkbox stating I am over 18, think again. Go ahead and visit that page, pre-checked because us over 18 crowd don’t have time to actually click boxes!
So okay. A rambunctious pre-18 year old actually visits a site targeted to them, reacts to a site targeted at them and then dares to submit a form that the friendly robot has already checked for them, surely this all must lead to some good wholesome content.
Right?
From their terms.
“Please note that you may receive Adult-oriented ads…”
So you are a parent. You monitor your kids on the web. You let them go to the WB so they can check out one of the WB’s cartoons. And what do you get? Pop-up ads and porn ads!
Th-Tha-That’s all folks!!
People have emailed asking what they can do.
First, File a complaint against Warner Brothers with the FTC.
Second, Call your congressman or senator.

Kids Thank Warner Brothers for the Ads and Porn
Well this is certainly an unpleasant turn of events for the folks at Warner Brothers. If there is one thing that I work hard to make very clear - be careful who you associate with….

More on WarnerBros and 180Solutions
Okay, I’ll admit I meant to follow up on my post about WarnerBros partnering with Zango, but it just completely slipped my mind until now, when I ran into a post on digg.com about it. And boy is it an…

Even if you uncheck the box saying you are 18 years of age and agree to the EULA and click “download now” it lets you download the software.

Pagina de Warner Bros ofrece Adware de pornografia
Se supone que es para ninos pero al parecer ofrecen Ads que tienen mala reputacion por ofrecer pornografia.

I am particularly fond of the “Special Notice for Non-English Speakers” in the End User License Agreement, which warns non-English speakers about the license… in English.

When my daughter was 3, she installed a Barbie screensaver from Barbie.com. She couldn’t read the license agreement or age restrictions, if there were any, she just knew to click on buttons. She easily could have installed that spyware, especially since the “over 18″ box is checked by default. I’m glad she likes Barbie and not Bugs Bunny. Fortunately now, the computer that my wife and kids use runs Ububntu instead of Windows, and won’t allow her to install crap like that, even if it were available for Linux.

Thought you’d like to know, I found an even WORSE warnerbros.com/zango page here:
http://www2.warnerbros.com/web/arcade/play_tour.jsp?game=tourgame1
It pops up this page:
http://www2.warnerbros.com/web/games/external.jsp?gameURL=http://infinity.zango.com/lp/warnerbrothersinfinitylp.aspx?BID=5762
which has only the following warning:
‘By pressing “play now” and playing our free games, you are downloading Zango. You are giving consent that you are 18 years or older, and are agreeing to the terms of our End User License Agreement.’

“I talked about zango here. They are also the people behind this alleged child porn browser.”
Enigma Global Inc. develops the browser, not 180 Solutions/Zango.

But Zango was providing the content, the download was from them.
And they serve porn off their zango servers all the time. I know where you are coming from, and your article is simply wrong, I don’t think you fully understand the situation and are merely commenting on work other people have done that you do not understand.
Are you familiar with this site?
http://content.licenseacquisition.org
Who do you think that is?
what do you think they use it for?
I can provide countless examples of porn being served from the zango servers, which is just one part of your inaccurate claim.
